Advent of Souls has been the culmination of my life's journey as a writer, director, and human. I didn't write this story to fit into any particular genre. I'm drawn to complex narratives, a juicy, sexy scene, a good sword fight, sarcasm, bluntness, humor, and action — so why not do them all! My goal is to enjoy the process of being an artist and dive deeper into my own original voice — one that I hope you connect with! I love creating and inhabiting a journey for a long period of time where others can join me, the actors, and these characters, hate them, fall in love with them, judge them, be inspired by them, learn from them, and be a part of and inhabit the world.

Through Advent of Souls I'm exploring prickly topics, complex relationships, and characters whose voices have been silenced or ignored. Also, I am exploring the feeling of helplessness and the opportunity for redemption in a world where morality and an appriciation for goodnes has been forsaken.

I'm fascinated by science and religion and how they intersect with politics. This dribbles down and affects society and how we connect or disconnect with each other without realizing that we have been infiltrated by the persuasions and self-centered motivations of others and don't realize how this has shaped public opinion, our sense of self, and self-esteem.

As there are tremendously amazing shows and films being produced today, simultaneously, I find myself frustrated with a lot of series and filmmaking. The entertainment industry has leaned so dark and depressing, and a lot of "comedy" makes me feel like I've got the brain cells of a potato, or is cruel or seated in horror.

I wrote Advent of Souls to entertain while speaking to your intelligence and compassionate heart. I aspire to write characters and narratives you relate to, because I believe there is tremendous value in feeling seen and understood.
